Generally, round diamonds are the most brilliant diamond shape available as they are full cut with 57 facets. However, we source rare oval diamonds with the same number of facets as a round diamond to ensure your diamond has the most exceptional brilliance.

People often mistake carat as the diamond’s size but it actually refers to the diamond’s weight. Therefore, two ovals of the same carat weight can differ in their appearance depending on their length to width ratio (this ratio ranges between 1.30 to 1.60).

There is no official cut grade for oval diamonds as well as all other fancy diamond shapes, GIA only provides cut grade for round brilliant cuts. There are, however, official polish and symmetry grades for your oval diamond that can be found on the GIA certificate.
