GCAL 8X Diamonds are defined by Excellent Grades in 8 aspects of Diamond Cutting.

These Lab-Grown Diamonds are distinguished by their extraordinary cut, the most important of the 4 Cs. GCAL Grading - The 8 Aspects of Diamond Excellence

The 8 Aspects of Excellence are categorised by their Physical Excellence, Light Performance Excellence and Optical Excellence.

Physical Excellence is defined by:

Polish - The skill and time it takes to produce the smoothest facets. Each surface of the diamond is polished to perfection with no burns, scratches or polishing marks.
External symmetry - The most accurate master cutters create Diamond facets in perfect alignment so they intersect with perfect symmetry, optimising balanced light return.
Proportions - Optical scanning technology measures each facet length and angle to ensure they meet the parameters required to maximize light return. A to-scale proportion diagram of every diamond appears on each GCAL certificate.

Light Performance Excellence is defined by:

Optical brilliance - The return of white light that a diamond will reflect. The 8X Cut maximises the light return for brighter appearing diamonds and to lessen dark areas within the stone.
Fire - Flashes of rainbow colours that appear when white light travels through a diamond, contributing to sparkle. The alignment of the diamond facets create the prism.
Scintillation - Flashes of white light or sparkle reflected during diamond movement.

Optical Excellence is defined by:

Optical symmetry - The evenness and uniformity of the facet shapes and alignment of the diamond. Illustrating harmony and perfect symmetry.

-A Gemprint fingerprint image for the unique optical fingerprint of your diamond
-Photomicrographs - High res photographs of crown and pavilion (top and bottom) of diamond
-Proportion diagram using optical scanning to measure each facet and angle to create a to-scale drawing of your diamond
-Information regarding: Date of creation, Carat, Colour, Clarity, Cut, Diamond Shape, Laser Inscription, Measurements
